VISION
Daddy Yankee’s La Meta was a landmark farewell concert series that transformed Coliseo de Puerto Rico into an immersive celebration of his decades-long legacy. Spanning five sold-out nights in San Juan, the production fused music, large-scale visuals, and choreography into an unforgettable final chapter for one of reggaeton’s most influential artists. In collaboration with FragmentNine and The Playground, I played a key role in developing high-energy visuals that helped bring this exhilarating experience to life.
As an animator in this role, designs and animations spanned key moments including Gasolina, Beachy, Hasta Abajo, Remix, and various interstitials. The large-format canvas intensified the visual experience, incorporating projection mapping workflows that brought a massive inflatable structure designed by AirWorks to life. The overall visual language was loud, lavish, and bold, amplifying the high-impact nature of the live performance while celebrating the legacy of the King of Reggaeton.
EXECUTION
PROCESS
The creative process utilized Unreal Engine 5, EmberGen, Cinema 4D, and After Effects to develop and refine the visual content across the project. These tools were used in combination to build, simulate, and composite high-impact 3D imagery and animation at scale. The overall visual direction focused on flames, gold, neon, and a balance of power and elegance, shaping a bold and cohesive aesthetic language throughout the performance.
